I thought that was 2 Bloor east for a hot minute.
Different location from the supposed Starbucks store. This is 131 Bloor W, the Starbucks is at 110 Bloor W. I still don’t know what’s happening there …https://retail-insider.com/retail-i...en-flagship-store-on-bloor-street-in-toronto/
Lots of details in the Retail Insider article posted yesterday.
The construction hoarding went up over the weekend, along with the Mandy's graphics.
Remember when BlogTO shared that it was going to be a huge starbucks?

i think its otherrship!! such a strong smellWalking by the YSL store and into Winners on Bloor, I can’t help but notice the stench (in my opinion) that is coming from Jaybird. It reeks the whole building complex.
Also, Paris Baguette is opening next to the Winner’s entrance.
When I saw the picture, I thought it was just the light that made it look like brutalist concrete panels, it was probably some beige/golden-ish vertical slats. I walked by to check it out this afternoon - yup, brutalist concrete panels. Probably could win an award for the ugliest YSL store facade in the world if there was such a thing.Someone approved spending good money on that facade. They should be looking for a different line of work.

I wonder if there will be a restaurant (similar to NYC). And I agree... Toronto is starting to see not just luxury open on Bloor, but truly global sized flagships.Tis now public, Tiffany is moving to the north-west corner of Bay and Bloor (1200 Bay), the former David's space and more.
Retail Insider has the details:
Tiffany & Co. to Open Flagship Store at Iconic Bloor and Bay Intersection in Toronto [Exclusive]
The relocated store will feature 24-foot ceilings on its second level in an office building that could be rebranded as the Tiffany Building.retail-insider.com
This is a big deal, large space, not just the ground floor; and naming rights to the entire building! More in the story, if you follow the link.
