The Blue Jays scored 28-5 over the Boston Red Sox in Fenway:

Yes, Raimel Tapia scored an inside-the-park grand slam in the third inning after Jarren Duran was being airheaded! It's the second one in Blue Jays history (the first was in 1989 by Junior Felix, also against the Red Sox in Fenway).

During the fifth inning, a pop up fly ball fell in front of Kevin Plawecki and the Red Sox defence simply looked at the ball despite it being an otherwise very easy out to end the Blue Jays’ half of the inning. The Blue Jays scored 10 runs for the rest of the inning instead, proving that much of the Red Sox defence was airheaded that night.

It's the game with the most Blue Jays runs in history, as well as the game with the most runs the Red Sox had given up in their history, stretching back to 1901.

The Blue Jays scored the fifth most runs in MLB history (two runs short of the modern MLB record (Texas Rangers beating the Baltimore Orioles with a score of 30-3 in Camden Yards in Baltimore on August 22, 2007)).

Here is a condensed version of the epic Blue Jays game against the Red Sox:

Even the Red Sox broadcasters called their own team embarassing.

I knew they wouldn't go far. This team is immature. Too much goofing around. Trying to look good for the cameras. Every player out there trying to make highlight plays. The culture in the club seems to be much different than what it was back in 2015/16. Gibbons was a good manager, and Jose Bautista was a great leader. Blue Jays could have went all the way back in 2015. They were done in by that stupid kid that reached out and grabbed the pop fly and the umps called it a home run. Jays would have won that game and go on to the WS Final and defeated The Mets.
Whatever. All I'll say is the team needs to smarten up. Looking forward to following the renovations throughout the offseason.
Look at the team that are very serious

Boston
Oakland
Kansas
San Fran
Miami

Being serious effects your play on the field.

This is baseball not Tiktok. Teams like the Yankees that are focused on the game and not the theatrics do well.

You don't see the Yankees celebrating with jackets or wheelbarrows after every home run. You don't see them celebrating like they won the World Series after clinching the Wild Card.

My point is that if the Jays are to be actual contenders they need to stop acting like children. They need to focus on the game, not celebrating like they won it after every home run.

Tampa and Seattle had much bigger parties then the Jays.

"Yankees players doused each other in champagne and beer, dancing as music blasted. At one point, reliever Lucas Luetge was the center of a beer shower, barely visible as knelt on the ground surrounded by a group of his teammates. Trade deadline acquisition Harrison Bader emptied two cans of Budweiser into his mouth at the same time while another player was spotted pouring a can down Nestor Cortes' pants. Rookies Scott Effross, Ron Marinaccio, Oswald Peraza and Oswaldo Cabrera were among those taking photos with New York's biggest superstars, documenting a night they'll never forget. "

Looks pretty similar to Jay's celebrations. Darn kids.

That is something worth celebrating though. I get your point however.
