..and from me it gets the wheelchair stamp of approval 👨‍🦽
How nice to be able to wheel around being 'in the moment' with my kids - instead of always casting ahead to avoid obstacles, steep curbs, uneven paving and oncoming crowds!

Looking forward to the park being completed.
Nice to hear this perspective. Thanks!

University district overall has been turning out quite nicely, but the most exciting part of the whole district to me is the block 23/Central Park.
I passed by last night and once again it was busy with people. Taking a look at the park, I can see that it is turning out almost exactly like the renderings. I’m thinking that also that once the park is completed and opened up to University Avenue, the whole area will become even busier.

A few more pics of the park.

Here are a few more pics from the area on the other side of the park. With the lighting fixtures and the benches etc. that surround the open area, I think it will have kind of a Bryant Park feel. Which would be awesome.

I can see people at night hanging around the well lit park having their ice cream etc., while the sounds of people at the two pub terraces echo in the background.

That really is looking fantastic. Very exciting, can’t wait to check it out myself.

Looks really good! Calgary has really upped their game with master planned areas like East Village, Bridgeland, and now UD. My only complaint with this park.....still needs more trees! This city is so stingy with the amount of trees they plant. I would at least double the amount in this park as to what they have.

I agree! Every edge of the pathways should be lined with trees! It does looks like they planted reasonably mature trees though, so that’s a positive.
