I remember years ago in my "The Transit City" class in 2nd year we were doing a site tour of Bridgeland. During the tour, one of thee members was talking about how there is a hotel proposed for the empty lot at Meredith and Edmonton Trail. 33 hotel rooms, restaurant on ground floor, bistro on fifth floor with south facing patio. It's nothing spectacular design-wise, but its uses and location are incredible.

Its amazing how many neighbourhoods are coming up in the city right now. Currie, University District, Bridgeland, East Village have all sprung up. Kensington and Sunnyside are continuing to get better, not to mention that we still have the Rivers District on the horizon!

Wow, almost hard to believe how much this section of bridgeland will have transformed over the last few years. Between Era, Flyover, Meredith and now this is pretty unreal. Not to mention the main street upgrades. Somehow this little stretch of Edmonton trail is going from blighted car sewer to up-and-coming urban node in a matter of a few years!
