I don't know much about Ocgrow, hoping they have a strong enough construction team locally to execute on this project. I wonder if they need a builder partner to execute on it? If so they should put out an RFP to JV on the site.

Nobody knows anything about them, and that’s the problem. This is a fair sized project for small unheard of developer.
It’s a big decision for people when theyre buying a condominium, they want to have faith the developer can get it built.

Probably for the better. Nothing was happening, time for someone else to take a shot at it.
The location has already been approved for a development and should be easier for another developer to come and build something of a similar scale.

There’s quite a few development sites for sale right now - I assume lots of small and inexperienced players getting caught with reduced sales + rapid interest increases?

When have condo presales been good in Calgary for the past 10 years? This is just part of the long list of developers bailing on unsold projects in Calgary. Developers like Truman are having to advertise to Toronto residents or occasionally we'll get a deep-pocket investor or fund buying up all the units to have rentals.
