Wasn’t there an old dry cleaners at that location? I wonder if it’s related to chemical rehabilitation? Dry cleaners use a lot of perchloroethylene. It’s toxic, but not as toxic a creosote, but enough that maybe the land required some rehab?

Yep Rosedale Cleaners/Cintas use to be at this location
 
This is 100% going ahead soon.

All those white pipes you see are covers for ground water monitoring devices. They’re being removed and construction will commence shortly after they’re all taken out.

There is also another development on 11th avenue that is moving along. I don’t know the cross street, but it’s not the one where the Transalta building was. I’ve heard they’re looking to start in the spring but always projects to get delayed and might be a bit longer. Whatever the timeline maybe be, they are planning to go ahead with it.

That's good news. Nice to see another development going ahead along 16th ave.

For the one on 11th ave, could it be this one? (Copenhagen)
 
I drive by this twice daily so I'm able to provide updates. I probably won't... but I'm able!

I'm glad that Turn it Up records found a new home close by (you can see it in the above photo) and won't just disappear. I wonder if that means if the development of the block where it was housed is imminent too.

There's been a proposal sign up on that one for a couple months? It's just a sandwich board, so can't blame you for missing it. Looks like another 6 storey mixed use situation, might be the best looking of the low/midrise bunch on 16 so far, but that's just my humble opinion.
