After visiting a few other cities in the last few months, this cluster is as large as anything in any city not named NYC. It's actually amazing that with 1000M being added the South Loop is as large as DTLA. The South Loop's layering is so special

My eldest was just noting that one of her friends was afraid of skyscrapers - but the friend had never actually seen on in person, Caty has seen a few ;-)
 
The absolute goofiness/absurdity of urban scale in one photo here just must be broken down. Two story trader Joe's, gas station, three story building, Pomo high rises, then a near super tall, a park, and a mile away is one of the greatest aquariums in the world... Insane. This will look very different in 20 years, mark my words
