Others may have seen this rendering , I had not. The new short section of cycle track between Parliament Square Park and the First Parliament site. Work is supposed to start on it 'fairly soon' - Metrolinx and the City and the Ministry are tidying up the legal agreements.

They're making a few updates to the "cycling-only" block on Shaw Street this morning (aka painting some faux bricks).

The new Toronto Cycling map is high on something. There is no bike lane on Eglinton like that and if you bike there you will probably die.

There was supposed to be protected bike lane... Then they opted for paint... I'm not sure the lane is even painted yet. Such a waste given the huge boulevards along that stretch.

From the project site:
Areas to the east of Laird will have the painted bike lanes only, for now; though, I understand that as redevelopment occurs, additional ROW may be sought to allow for physical buffering.
