The first phase of the film studio area is going to be north of the present Bombardier buildings and south of the Toronto FC (BMO) Training Ground.

This location is quite isolated but the architectural plans show "shuttle drop off locations" so it appears the studio is planning a shuttle, presumably to Sheppard West Station, for employees.

Eventually one million square feet of space. As a film student that feels like 3 christmases have come at once.
Not knowing anything about the viability of the film industry in Toronto - is there that kind of demand for so much purpose-built space?

From what I hear, the major studios in Toronto are fully booked for, something like, the next 3 or 4 years. It's quite common these days for productions to be turned away and for them to film in different cities due to the lack of available space. That being said, tax credits are available everywhere now, and if the value of the dollar were to shoot up it would probably change the complexion of demand in the city.

I actually think the shuttle going to Downsview Park station would make more sense since there is both TTC and GO connections there.
