This would seem to be an area where a taller building would make a lot of sense, but hey it's been a surface parking lot for decades so almost anything at this point would be better.

Many of the cities in Europe that we most admire (Berlin, Barcelona, Paris and others) are made up of largely 6-story'ish buildings in their core, central areas. I am optimistic about the outcomes from this size of building.

I'm not terribly disappointed by the shift to mid-rise per se, but I think everyone is bracing themselves for a potential downgrade in design standards to something quite bland and very un-downtown-like. Here's hoping we're wrong!

It is sort of in the Warehouse District, so something that fits in with that would be nice.
