So they've bought Dwayne's House and plan on tearing it down and re-doing the site. Interesting.
Interesting that they intend to do a wood 6 storey still. My understanding is anything above 4 now has to be constructed of mass timber as per the new building code.

I am surprised they wouldn't go higher at this location, given that it is a prime top-of-bank location with unimpeded River Valley views (if the building is taller than 6 storeys, that is).
I do like in the latest proposal that they are looking to take better advantage of the hillside location.

I believe the mass timber will only apply to tall wood buildings (taller than 6 storeys).

Really nice proposal seems to me like Calgary and Edmonton Dialog Studios put out much better work than their Toronto and Vancouver studios

The colour scheme is not my cup of tea (at least in the render, I've been surprised before with some buildings looking much better in person) but I quite like the massing.

I like it. Though wish it was taller it will make better use of that hillside.
