Too bad the LRT line completion couldn't be given a bit more urgency. Sacred Heart Church was slated to reopen in October, but with the Pope coming to visit the church the completion date has been pushed forward to July 17. If only Trans Ed could be given a reason to commit to a date rather than just leaving it open so they don't have to push.

I sure hope so. The casual disregard for deadlines these days is irksome. It's as if they aren't really trying or can't be bothered.

I hope it's in time for the Folk Fest, so my prediction would be July 31st, 12 noon (so they have a few days prior to ease in to all the folks).

I hope that the connection at Churchill (escalators, stairs, elevators) could be open for events like the Street Performers and A Taste of Edmonton.
I wonder if that's why they're holding back on a specific date? Maybe you could both be right here, but the one they end up choosing depends on how the signal rollout goes?

My guess would be Aug 22. They probably want to be up and rolling for the start of the school year if everything goes as planned from here on out.
