Didn't know there was a thread for this project. I'll update as I normally take a few shots when photographing the nearby high-rise under construction. It's been a long day and I can't recall the name of it.

Been told bylaw enforcement have been hitting the area for illegal park cars and love that. One of many places in the core where the owner has bought one parking spot and show up on move in date with 2 or more cars looking for free parking. With the parking being built for the new sport field and the driveway to the new school, these extra cars will start parking there.

Looks like they are close to finishing the burying of utilities that they have started grading to the north side for the new sport field.

The driveway asphalt was poured on the 26th and/or the 27th. Work is still taking place on Saturdays.

The driveway, parking lots and sidewalks are in place on the school lands. No idea if the street extension will happen next year, but has no impact on the school opening in the fall of 2022. Expect the locals will try using the school driveway 7 days a week that will be one way.

Grading taking place where the sport field is to go and hydro connection to the street grid on Central Parkway.

All the exterior enclosed with finishing work taking place inside.

this is aggressively, offensively bad architecture. looks more like a prison complex than a brand-new school.

I think this school should have been twice as big with all the new developments coming into o the area.

that doesn't make any sense. if you have to buy more land and or build an extension it's going to cost significantly more money than building it the correct size to begin with.
I completely agree. I'm assuming that's something they're willing to entertain and pay for <10 years down the road 🙄
