Learn about the Fort Edmonton Park Enhancement

The City of Edmonton, in partnership with the Fort Edmonton Park Management Company, invites the public to learn more about the preliminary plans for the Fort Edmonton Park Enhancement Project. Display boards will introduce the various components of this enhancement project, and staff will be available to answer visitor questions.
Date: Tuesday, May 2, 2017
Time: 4 - 8 p.m.
Location: Blatchford Field Air Hangar, Fort Edmonton Park (7000 143 Street)
Construction for the Fort Edmonton Park Enhancement Project is scheduled to begin in Fall 2017.

Not sure if there is a thread for the Fort Edmonton addition projects, but I’ll just post some picks here.
New streetcar power poles leading to barn.
The first new front entrance buildings, which will be part of an entrance plaza similar to
the one at the zoo.
New fairground development. Was far away so I couldn't get a great view but one of the cool additions includes a wooden roller coaster!

Can really see most of what is done on site unless you are on site. And that being said, if you are on site there is a moratorium on posting any info. All I can say is the park will look great next year.

I was hoping and praying the fairgrounds would get a wooden roller coaster! Let’s hope it doesn’t disappoint ?

One of the more dramatic developments for the park will be the indigenous peoples' experience. That one should be powerful based on hype to date.

Here is a Fort Edmonton Park sponsored article that was in the Journal today. I like the idea of purchasing lights to help in the fundraising - like the High Level bridge lighting. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
