fantastic night shots! I really need to pay a visit to downtown Hamilton sometime... lots of great character in these neighbourhoods! I dont think Ive hung out down there since 1990 or so... the years really fly by.

Hess Village-HML nights!

Hmm, I have no idea when Hess Village became a night spot. I would guess maybe within the last 15 years? I've only known Hamilton for the last 5. Someone else must know.

Somehow, I think it's been something of a destination ever since Yorkville years, roughly speaking--though a better point of comparison may be Mirvish Village...

Back in the 70's developers wanted to demolish Hess Village for apartment slabs so Hess Village has been around for quite some time. Just that the pubs and restaurants have gotten better (Koi) and more people are discovering the place.

Wow, looks like I always visit the wrong parts of Hamilton. This looks like a great little area, has an almost Euro flair. Great shots.
