I believe Broad is suing the contractor over the skin, which didn't turn out as it was originally supposed to.

Up close The Broad looks quite nice. When you step back (or up) it starts to look very boring and square. I've heard tourists mistake it for a parking garage a few times now.

I don't mind the boxy-ness. The thing that bothers me is the irregular topiary placement on the sidewalk on Grand. For a building with such a precise, almost mathematical facade, the seemingly random topiary placement baffles me, though I'm sure there is a rational explanation out there somewhere.
