Another major redevelopment, local developer Vive has assembled an entire block (charles, ottawa, borden, king)
Currently the block is at the very far end of downtown, and has the LRT running right past it.
Currently the block is almost entirely run down, dilapidated and abandoned. Some demolition has already begun.
Here's an older article/interview with the developer. One sticking point for Vive was the city's parking minimums, which they (rightly so) thought were excessive, especially given how this block is on the LRT.
The article also mentions at least a 32s building but there could potentially be even more height in future phases.
Recently this rendering popped up and I'm not sure what to think.
Regardless anything here will be an improvement over what is there right now and will be good for the city overall.
