Indeed Mustapha. That beautiful example of a neighbourhood store brings back many of our childhood memories. Nostalgia is wonderful! And so many questions too.
When was that home built and when was it first converted to a store? Were there other stores before the current Market? Perhaps the present owner can provide answers.
It's a fine subject for historical research. And I wonder how long it will continue as a local business and landmark. Maybe, like DSC's example, it'll soon become a modern home.
The water tower (at right, background) is an odd reminder and good indicator of the community's long life.
