I know there are quite a handful of posts showing pictures from NYC but I thought I'd share my perspective on it. Who knows maybe there will be something new that you might see.
I went on this trip in May 2007 after I finished my exams. This was my first time going to NYC since age 12 or so. This was definitely an amazing and worthwhile trip which I hope to repeat again this coming summer.
There will be 3 different days posted to see where I went.
Enjoy!
May 2007
Day 1
- Long walk on 8th Ave and 42nd St. to 82nd St.
*Not knowing anything about the city, we arrived at the 42nd Street Bus Terminal and wanted to get to the Museum of Natural History. We had a small map which didn't have a scale and according to it, the museum didn't seem that far. Lets just say, 40 block is A LONG ways away.
- Museum of Natural History
*Amazing musuem. Reminded me of the Smithsonian in DC. The new planetarium was really extraordinary.
- Boat Cruise on the Hudson, around Battery Park, and up the East River, and under the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges to the United Nations and back
*Pretty self explanitory. The skyline was beautiful at night, but due to the boat moving, I couldn't get any good shots.
