Not sure, @interchange42 - if you are breaking-out individual STATION sites yet..?

Presentation slides from this week's Open House for King-Bathurst "Transit-Oriented Community" above the new Ontario Line station are posted on-line.

North Building : 25-Storeys / 187 Units
South Building : 25-Storeys / 235 Units

TOTAL : 422 Units (*mostly RENTAL, "Affordable-Units" = TBD)

It would be nice if some retail could be integrated into the stations. Just like, a coffee shop or something. Because as is, this basically kills half the King-Bathurst intersection due to how large the stations are at-grade. Do they really need that much street facing real estate for a subway entrance?

Also, watch city planning get really mad that Metrolinx wants zero parking (even above a subway station)

City planning can "get really mad" all they want - assuming the Province is going to MZO all of them, right..?

Sure, you can start threads for any/all of them!

OKm what is your "naming convention" for starting a new thread when the site(s) have multiple street-addresses..?

Just go for Ontario Line: King-Bathurst Station, etc. They should be in the Buildings Forum. Once we have database files for them, other doodads will get added to the thread titles.

You are at your best when being technically specificatious!

:p

I just aim to create the conditions where everyone is free to relax and enjoy the ride. Please keep your arms safely inside the vehicle at all times.

Threads already exist for these two projects - including updates about Metrolinx preliminary plans for the stations on these sites:

We will likely keep separate threads for whatever gets built over the station buildings, but will make that determination as time goes on…

"PAPE AREA CONCERNED CITIZENS FOR TRANSIT" is still the name that makes me LOL the most on that list...

^ why is that? Able to expand?

Also, for context, the folks interviewed for the article live here.

And context from an Ontario Line map:

...it makes me LOL - because the reality is you can remove the last two-words - "FOR TRANSIT" - from their branding if you are being factually-accurate.

Same strategy as the "EAST YORK CARES" folks on the nearby Modular-Housing site who started out as "STOP THE MOD" - and "SAY NO TO MZO"... before someone with better PR-spin skills rebranded them.
