After 45 years as the tallest building in Ottawa, Place de Ville C is about to be surpassed by a striking new condominium tower. Work on the 148-metre Claridge Icon has created a massive excavated pit that dips several storeys below the intersection of Carling and Preston. The 45-storey tower by Claridge Homes will boast views of the man-made Dow's Lake and the lively Little Italy neighbourhood.
