I was disappointed to see it still closed last week when I visited the new and improved Tavern on the Hill.
 
They've built a pretty large patio and had some nice lighting/furniture/couches, etc. The previous one was a bit more basic and smaller.
 
sad to see concrete pathways instead of stone pavers. Why is stone so rare in Canadian landscaping? Is this some silly greenhouse gas requirement because concrete is lower emission than granite?

I was just on a trip in Asia and granite pavers seem to be the default even in less affluent areas of Korea and China.
 
I'd think granite would have a lower environmental impact than concrete. Probably just cheaper.
 
Some not terribly informative pictures of on-going construction at Kiweki Point. On the bridge, hand rails are being installed. Landscaping continues near National Gallery.
