The ban, put in place by Dalton McGuinty’s Liberal government in 2005, never made any sense. It fed on hysteria rather than hard evidence. It was an example of political opportunism run amok.www.thestar.com
“It’s not an effective way of dealing with dangerous dogs,” said NDP leader Andrea Horwath earlier this month. It “discriminates against certain dog breeds in the face of scientific evidence,” said Green Leader Mike Schreiner.
This is silly. Dog breeds do not have a right to exist. "Discriminates against" makes it sound like there's an injustice somewhere.
