Why would Canada care about missile defense for our own benefit? We are only doing as much as we are to placate the US.

It's more than joining the US. The threat environment has changed. And our own defence policies are being updated to consider missile defence. In no small part because the difference between a drone and a missile is starting to get blurred.

It must have been a summonsing of more than generals - I see a lot of senior non-commissioned members in those photos.

Every general has a senior enlisted on their staff. And they always travel with their staff.

...the US has one of the largest military in world, I am pretty sure the leadership there where not thrilled to be called from all across said world to watch Hegsweth cosplay Patton. And to put that mildly.

A lot of analysis has missed the most concerning part. The whole thing about "no fat generals" is basically a way to force what are folks in their 50s and 60s to do physicals normally aimed at 20 and 30 somethings. It's a setup to make an excuse to cut them.

...the fact that Hegsweth was also openly fat shaming his summoned audience here should also not be overlooked either.

I have never met a GOFO who cared about words. You don't reach that rank by being sensitive. What is more important is the potential threat to the institution as they look for excuses to purge those who refuse to do their bidding. And as you can see by the response in that room, could well be most of them.

I am guessing this is what they don't like:

Long gone are the days of Trumps unrequited love for wild-eyed generals. Now it's him or the constitutional highway... /bleh

Using the word "fact" doesn't make it so.
It is an indisputable fact that the US government under Trump funded the gain-of-function research that led to the creation of this bioweapon. It's not even open for debate. Former CDC Director Dr. Redfield testified before congress under the penalty of perjury that the gain-of-function research was funded by the NIH, State Department, USAID and DoD.

SARS-CoV-2 was likely not bioengineered. YouTube videos and conspiracy theories will not make it so
Have you done any research on the origins of Covid-19? I have been studying this topic going back to the start of the pandemic. A virus very similar to Covid-19 was created in a lab at UNC Chapel Hill NC by a Dr. Ralph Baric who invented the “no-see-um” technique of gene splicing, also known as seamless ligation. It was described as a SARS-like chimeric corona virus (why was the US government trying to make SARS more contagious?). Working alongside Dr Baric in 2015 was Dr. Shi Zhengli—often referred to as the “Bat Lady” of Wuhan. Publication of their work caused alarm in the scientific community which prompted President Obama to impose a moratorium on gain-of-function research. When Trump became President he lifted the G-O-F moratorium.

Link to article from Nature Magazine: (archived copy because they scrubbed it from their website) Engineered bat virus stirs debate over risky research

Dismissing something you don't agree with as a "conspiracy theory" is just lazy.

TRUMP GAZA – Colonization is Peace

"The greatest lie that humanity tells itself is that we have outgrown human sacrifice...When Abraham prepares to sacrifice Issac, he is just accepting the same bargain of blood we accept today. That some need to die for the World to flourish"

They are not hiding it, and the world does nothing. Whatever happened to "never again"?
