Is a commute bike commute from Dupont/Lansdowne to Mississauga City Centre too difficult? I have never bike commuted more than 20 kms round trip within the city.

Is is it feasible? Google maps says it will take anywhere from an hour to 80 mins depending on route. Is Google missing anything that only bike commuters would know?

That's pretty much my exact commute (though I'm at Bloor and Symington). It takes me about an hour, though I'll admit I'm a bit faster than most people.

I basically ride this route: Railpath to Osler, then Dupont, Annette, Jane, Dundas.... Then Burnhamthorpe all the way to MCC (Robert Speck and City Centre). Coming home, I often take Bloor through Mississauga / Etobicoke instead....and vary my route a bit more often.

There's a "trail" on Burnhamthorpe in Mississauga, but I usually avoid it as it's more of a pain in the ass at intersections, and has way too many gaps, to be worthwhile. Especially eastbound.

Let me know if you have any other questions about the commute.

Cheers,
Vic
