But then there's Rob Ford himself.

Really: something about him gives off that erstwhile "virgin at 22/can't get girls" vibe; and like despite Renata and whatever other babes, he's the sort who never really shook off that complex. Indeed, the stuntedness of his entire "approach" to women--Renata not excluded--almost suggests in itself that he's out for revenge against everyone who did him wrong, PUAhate style. He was treated like dirt; so, he'll treat Renata and whomever else like dirt.

Had RoFo's cards fallen differently in his adolescence and post-adolescence, I can definitely see him (and his hairtrigger temper) fitting the sex-starved mass killer template.

And with that in mind, he could still kill--esp. once he realizes he's "losing", with no hope for redemption.

And come to think of it, the PUAhate = IHTWOMRF analogy reminds me of the notion of World Pride being hit by a Boston-bombing incident, straight from the crazier elements of Ford Nation...

I do have enough experience to be a pretty good Armchair Psychologist, BTW :).

I don't really see much in the way of analogy here. Eliot Rodgers was a virgin and was aggrieved to the point of murderous psychopathy by his inability to find a girl to have sex with.

Rob on the other hand could not be more different, because he takes what he wants, and I very much doubt that he stayed a virgin for long.

In fact, I think it's abundantly clear that Rob Ford is likely to be extremely aggressive and dogged in his pursuit of sex. From a strictly numbers perspective, he has probably chalked up a lot more conquests than one might imagine, just through his relentless badgering.

Plus while he's always been fat, he wasn't always disgusting looking, and he's always had money.

Finally, he is almost certainly very comfortable paying for sex if he needs to, and may have always utilized escorts as a form of release. Plus he can afford to visit them as much as he wants.
