Positive:
- Members were appreciative of this development in
terms of what it was "giving back" to the city:
o heritage preservation, laneway expansion, and
streetscape enhancements
- At the same time, they acknowledged that some of
these qualities were a result of chance (e.g.
proximity to other tall buildings, and separation
distances)
Problematic:
- Some Members expressed reservations with how
tower "thunders" to the ground
I agree. when I looked at the picture it looked like a new render but now it looks like a sketchup because the picture looks very unprofessional. the previous renders were very high quality as compare to this one.
We have a new front page story up. Among other things in the story, you will learn that the building is now proposed at 3 storeys shorter to address shadowing concerns, and to comply with Toronto's Tall Building Guidelines as they apply to this development. There are other subtle changes too. Have a read!
