One of the best (and densest) financial districts on the planet... now extended west and south from the MINT.
Oh oh ... quoting myself (a warning sign ;-). Here's some useless Sunday trivia about the the Toronto Banks name game south of Queen (includes towers associated with banks but not necessarily occupied by them eg. Toronto Dominion Centre).

List includes trust companies (but not insurance companies with financial services).
TD Centre 5

TD /Canada Trust 2
160 Front W (TD - 1 u/c)
(TD sub-total
8)

ScotiaBank 3
CIBC 4 (1 - u/c)
Royal Bank 4
BMO (First Canadian Place) 2
National Bank Financial 1
CitiBank 1

Total: 23 towers associated with $$$
in a) the MINT, b) south to Southcore and c) west to 160 Front & RBC
(tallest is FCP @ 298m - for 47 years ;-)

Did I miss any? I may be dense but so is the (expanding) financial district.

Will be a hell of a canyon on Front once this and the various "Union" buildings get built.
I personally hope Union Centre never gets built or at least not with its current design. The floor plate running east-west is too large/wide for my tastes. What ever happened to the old city principle around not blocking all the lake views and building floorplates narrower and running more north/south closer to the lake to save some views and have open space in the skyline?
