Very exciting proposal in terms of size and impact, but it feels very shoe-horned onto the site (in a way that compromises the site and CCW and CCN).

...and on a more personal/subjective note, they'd be demolishing my favourite part of Commerce Court and a favourite building of mine in the Financial District. :( The buildings they plan to demolish are an excellent example of the classy, demure buildings of the Financial District before the height-and-everything-glass craze took over. They have a very 80s/90s Toronto feel to me, which I would be sad to lose.

I'm all for more towers and density in the Financial District but this one feels really shoe-horned into the site. I wish Brookfield Place would beat them to the market and build their third tower, on Front Street. That would be much more ideal than another tower at Commerce Court.

Nice unexpected hit of the year. Reminds me of KPF’s Bank of America in NYC.

Apparently there will be an awkward addition facing Yonge:

That's not much of a spire—that's a cloaked aerial, and that's it really. If you're looking to have it as a spire, and it's an asymmetrical building, have it come out from the highest corner, not the middle. Meh so far.
