Oakville? Never! Bronte, Bronte, always Bronte!!! Oakville was home to slick products of the Empire, Bronte was an old fishing village, a stone hooker port, always slightly decrepit and decadent, where you went for a few extra beers with you dad’s Galaxy wagon.

Having said that, the new affluent Bronte seems to be getting a spot of infill, and the town is opposing four stories? Mayor Rob and his buddies strike again?

Updated renderings for this project, along with an address change from 2220 Marine Drive to 2190 Marine Drive. The existing 19 storey building on the lot will remain as 2220.

This is a perfect spot for infill, but 4 storeys seems exceedingly tame here. I'm not suggesting another tower, but 6 storeys would not destroy the area, maybe even 8 would work without Oakvillians expiring from hyper-hyperventilation… …although I'm now going to need to hire security from the mob for even suggesting that, and by mob, I mean Oakville Town Council.
