A 3-storey multi-unit building in the works for the SE corner of Ossington & Harrison, one block north of Dundas W.

Appears like they may be keeping the brick exterior of the current 2-storey older building on site, reformatting some of the front window alignments and adding an extra floor on top.

Not necessarily the most common comparison to bring up everyday, but the new concept feels very downtown Reykjavik to me.

To alter the existing two-storey mixed use building containing one retail unit and four residential units by constructing a third storey addition with fourth storey staircase enclosures and roof top deck.

This is by Roc Developments who seem to be doing several projects in the western part of the central city. Work is well underway. Pic taken 23 May.

That's too bad. The Edwardian facade they're destroying had a lot of character. It looks like it might have even had its original windows.
