This is in the Lansdowne and Davenport area. They are proposing a 2-storey addition above an existing 4-storey heritage building.

It doesn't get any closer to home, I literally live beside this building lol. There's 'For Lease' signage, and has been ongoing work throughout this year on this building. But it's pretty ambiguous between a mix of gutting and renovations. Although nothing to the scope of the proposal shown above though.

Based on one of the application documents, it looks they're planning on a mixed-use blend of office, residential and retail.

The renderings are rather Minecrafty, but it will be good to see windows that are appropriate to the original building installed. If the top two storeys and stairwell are kept clean, with darkly-tinted full-height windows and matching mullion caps, this could work.

Tarp has gone back up. From one of the gaps exposed by it flapping in the wind, it looks like the brick is being restored to a darker red tone. Some replacement in certain places seems also evident with there being spare bricks being stacked on the scaffolding ledges.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer the blackened brick over the cleaned/restored red.
