What appears to be the first typical floor is now fully formed - and with the additional over the lane and the building side staging areas now in place, construction will hopefully move up quickly.

Podium is really disappointing.
Bland, glass, boring, generic, no heritage facade or design cues from the neighbourhood architecture history
Also covering part of the Bisha brick facade urg
Oh well

What does '150 meters' get Great Gulf?
By my calculations, a whole lot of extra construction costs without even being able to squeeze in an extra floor. But people in an internet forum want a nice even number, so better get spending! 🤣

It can be considered a skyscraper and adds to Toronto's count :)
All that helps is an insignificant ranking on CTBUH. Try explaining that move to your shareholders.
Once again, what does an arbitrary number give Great Gulf other than added costs?

i agree with you. but GG could have topped it out at 157m, that way they could have added 2-3 more floors. everyone happy. :)

"GG could have"...Easy for you to say. This currently has a 32 FSI, one of the highest ever approved in the city. 157m is one of the barometers by which things are measured, but it's by no means the only one. 46 Charlotte lost at the Board despite adhering to the 157m 'limit'.

Don't make things seem simple when they're not.
