I wouldn't read too much into the speed of demo, but that seems like a very realistic timeframe for a building this size.

A lot of very heavy equipment on site today, including a mobile crane, and scaffolding is being raised along the Bloor Street side of the former cinema. My assumption is that this is all in preparation of demolition of the cinema, but would welcome confirmation from forum members with better construction knowledge.
