That little silver car? He's been stuck there all day! He thought he could make a short cut between Bloor and Howard, not accounting for the field of mud right in front of him, duh! Lol!

haha, what a dummy. Seen people drive over boulevards in a hurry, but not through a field like that. Tries to save 15 seconds, ends up with a >$100 tow bill. Serves him right.

You never know. You may gain a view of a hot nudist.

Knowing my luck, I'll end up with yet another "Spanky". Many years ago I lived at 33 Wood street (built right beside Maple Leaf Gardens), facing north, on the 24th floor, and had many buildings in my view, but the one closest to my balcony? Being in the gay community, many guys aren't shy about walking around their apartment naked, fine, it's their place, no one is forcing you to watch them, but then there was a man I nicknamed Spanky, guess why? Yep, I swear to god, without fail, as soon as it was dark, all the lights came on in his suite, and out came the box he'd stand on, and, with a spotlight highlighting his nether regions, he'd go to town with his more then ample appendage. Normally, as a gay guy (back then, I was a much young gay guy) I'd have enjoyed the show. Unfortunately, he....errr...how do I say this without being offensive to anyone else? Well, yes, he was well endowed, but that was his only redeeming quality. He was about 6' tall, at least 350lbs, and had more hair on his back and butt then on his head (no, I didn't stare, but there was just no way not to notice, it was like watching Bigfoot!). Let's just say, it was NOT a pretty sight, rather disturbing in fact, especially when he'd pull out the sex toys (no pun intended) and spend hours doing things no one should ever have to witness. I'm all for person freedom to express yourself, but when said expressions make you, or any guest in your home want to vomit, ESPECIALLY my mother, whom I told how nice it was living downtown, until she came over for diner, absolutely insisted on eating on the balcony, and having Spanky put on a special show just for her, that's when I draw the line! Even worse? The second anyone in my building walked onto their balcony, he turned the lights up even brighter, as he must have got extremely "excited" if he thought someone was watching him. Once she finally noticed him, despite my best efforts to block her view, she let out a scream, and called the police to report him (she did so as I was in the bathroom). Next thing I know, mom is on the balcony, with my binoculars, watching Spanky being arrested in his own apartment, charged with indecent exposure. If my mom hadn't done so, I'm certain someone else would have eventually, thank god we never saw him again after the police got involved. To this day, despite my having moved three times since then, she's convinced that every building in Toronto is full of people like Spanky, and refuses to come visit me. Her and my dad live in Burlington, are in their 80's, and couldn't drive here even if they wanted to, so I'm safe.......going back to your original comment, if ever I had a man with the body of a Greek god who never wore clothes living directly across from me, I know I'd eventually have to wake up, because that's the only time it would happen to me, and that's just fine with me. As long as I don't have to see Spanky ever again, I'm happy, but I will miss my 180 degree north facing view, but, depending on how and where they position the towers, we may still see the sunset, and sunrise (in the winter, we have zero direct sun, but at the height of summer, we have 2 hours of sun in the early AM, and constant sunlight from 4 until midnight), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. All this aside, I've never lived right over an active construction site from start to finish, so expect many, many photographic posts! And as for my future Sky neighbours...let's just have nice, half decent people who don't think they're a porn star 24/7!!!

A few pictures from this area today.
Is the house behind the scaffolding in the first image the house that was moved?

And then there's this portal to Sherbourne subway and the Glen Road bridge over the Rosedale Ravine. I love the murals that are covering and increasing number of formerly bare concrete walls in this city! (More need to the left of the subway entrance!)

And that bridge is actually getting re-done; recent correspondence from KWT's office included the latest plans and details of the next community meeting on it, and the plans are available somewhere on the city's website.

Cool story, bro

That house beside the relocated one looks like it's undergoing a pretty intensive reconstruction process, moreso than the townhouses. Or is it a new build?

Meaning Lanterra is looking to get out of North St. James Town? Interesting… They've done a lot of the pubic benefits legwork already, but I suppose they don't feel that this area fits with their brand.

It's definitely a strange place- bordered by some of the richest neighborhoods in the City, and yet it couldn't shake off the St Jamestown moniker.

I am glad for their planning efforts though- the heritage properties are accounted for and hopefully future development will help stitch these lands back into the city.
