Massive warehouse going up beside Burloak just south of the QEW on the border of Burlington and Oakville. No clue about this project until I drove by today and saw this immense steel structure:

The project consists of a fairly typical multi-unit industrial building fronting Wyecroft. In behind is a massive warehouse building.

The complex will have a GFA of 25,561 square metres. 166 parking spaces, 16 bike spaces, and 4 EV chargers.

We need more vertically-oriented industrial development and less horizontally-oriented development like this project. It wastes land and contributes to sprawl, car-dependence, and traffic issues in the region. You could use the land that would be saved with a vertically-oriented warehouse with a smaller footprint for housing.
