I didn't find a thread or DB entry but it looks like a big expansion of the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre located on Cawthra south of the QEW

I couldn't resist another fall leaves shot. The weather today was absolutely fantastic!

The Carmen Corbasson Community Centre Expansion includes a renovation and a new addition that will improve the quality of recreation services, implementing higher accessibility and green building standards.

The new facility will include a fitness centre, aquatics centre, multi-purpose space, renovations to the indoor arena, improved connections to the Mississauga Seniors' Centre and improved sustainable and accessible design standards.

In 2020, Diamond & Schmitt Architects and Aquicon Construction were awarded the Design and Construction Management Services. Diamond & Schmitt Architects are familiar with this facility having completed the 2002 expansion.

The community centre is partially open, and will hold an official grand re-opening on June 15. 138,000 sf with 2 swimming pools, 2 ice rinks, gym, fitness centre, active living studio, meeting rooms, etc.

Its Mississauga man, gotta keep our expectations realistic. This is also on Cawthra which is suburbs as far as the eye can see but slowly getting more dense south of the QEW (see the rental project 1-2 blocks south of here.) This is a win for the community as far as Im concerned.
