Vertical sprawl?

1600 Units on 7 hectares doesn't sound like sprawl.
This development is part of the proposed 9000 new residential units already anticipated within the area's secondary plan.

If you take a moment to look at the plans for this area, architectural criticism's aside, you'll see this is actually a desirable start to remaking this area, at the terminus of the Spadina subway extension. This type of development should be encouraged fr this area.

Seems a little premature given that the "Metropolitan Centre" (LOL) has only just gotten started.

I didn't know the Subway was going to Rutherford and Jane!?!? Oh right, it's not. This is right across the street from a giant parking lot which will likely stay in some form as a result of the enormous shopping mall which it services, (Vaughan Mills) This is way too far from anything, including the future subway stop. This is essentially in the middle of a sea of business parks and banquet halls. This is no more urban then the condos just at northeast the corner of Rutherford and Jane.

LOL, relax. Its at a major YRT transit terminal, minutes away from a GO Station by bus, and will be minutes away from the subway by bus once.
