Interesting to see that theres a small track segment on the bridge that hasn't been hooked up to anything yet. I got to use the station for the first time on Tuesday morning, there was a surprisingly large number of people on the platform for an off-peak train and quite a few people also got on and off at West Harbour.
I was surprised to see it on the Feb 23rd as it was used as the 2nd track for CN during the construction of the station. It will become track 1 if and when CN decide to build it and allow GO to have the current track to themselves as Track 3. Provision is in place for GO 2nd track that will become track 4. There is to be 3/4 tracks on either ends of the station.

For such a big station building, I was surprised that there's no washrooms. The ramp from street level to tunnel level is huge, though.

I believe, but could stand to be corrected, Mx provides washrooms at staffed stations during staff hours.

Since Confederation is listed as unstaffed, no washrooms.

This seems poorly considered in regards to service expansion. I wonder if the washrooms are there, but unlabelled and locked for future use?

Are there any stations left with service counter ticket sales? Or are all passengers expected to pay with a Presto card, bank card, or coins at a machine these days?

Not sure.

But most of the higher volume stations still have staff, they just don't have the counter/wicket.

Danforth as example, got rid of the counter/window ....hmmmm, 2-3 years back. But still shows staff hours:

I don't know know, but would assume, the washrooms are locked before staff depart each night.

Hot take: we should just allow for charging for bathrooms in these cases, or have self cleaning washrooms.

I'm tired of the tired excuse that people will abuse the bathrooms, charge people $0.25 to enter, and/or have them be self cleaning. Not having bathrooms in public spaces is disgraceful.

Visiting many places in Europe and paying for bathrooms was annoying at first, but they were plentiful, moderately clean, and never had someone passed out or being aggressive in them.

I forgot mention them. The ramp is about the same as Bronte and Barrie and removes the need for more elevators. Lack of washroom is due to how cheap the station was built along with shelters. Then why have washrooms when its unmanned and a target area for homeless to sleep in regardless there is no heat. When nature calls, need to go cross the street to Walmart that will take about 30 minute round trip that will meaning missing your train or bus.

Or holding until the train arrives and then using the restroom in the coach... though the water to wash hands is likely to be gone (particularly later in the day), and I've been on GO trains where someone has stayed locked away inside for either a private place to be or a sheltered space to do other things.
