yes they will be rental. Originally they were condo but it switched at some point to rental.

Believe November 2018... just got a letter saying my occupancy won't be till feb 2019 but I'm on higher floor.

Has anyone heard anything about the rental tower is now going to be release and for sale as condo? My real estate agent told me the developer told her that they r releasing E2 condo October this year ....

It wouldn't surprise me. The condo market is strong, plus the recently announced rent control rules have turned developers off in a big way from building rentals.

If they do switch this to rental from condo, I think this might be the first one for that to happen. The developers have squawked about the rent controls, but it hasn't made any difference to building plans that I can recall so far, and there are still new rentals being proposed.

I've seen a few developers making changes. I've also seen a few developers continuing on without caring. It really depends. The impact on the financials isn't as big as it makes it out to be, and it was always a risk that should have been reflected in their proforma. The project wasn't really viable financially as a rental if rent control kills it.
