There we go that's step #1 in motion (which has been in motion for a while).Apparently, CF are lobbying city hard to turn everything into res... to no one's surprise
...could they not focus on the residential parts first while awaiting for the office market to warm up? No need to change any plans if it all works out in the end.Apparently, CF are lobbying city hard to turn everything into res... to no one's surprise
IO is opposing the request. There we go that's step #1 in motion (which has been in motion for a while).
Step #2 is the province bending over backwards and granting CF's wishes with the land conversion.
Step #3 is CF turning this into yet another generic Toronto sterile residential neighborhood.

Canary Wharf is a once badly planned business district that's being transformed by residential construction but most importantly really good transit infrastructure.Canary Wharf isn't exactly a great example of how to design a business district...
Honestly, I'd prefer a truly mixed use neighbourhood over a commercial district.

And yet somehow we'll manage to get an even worse outcome here at East Harbour. But it is still an awfully soulless place. Adding residential alone isn't sufficient to change that.
