Besides the ditching of office space, what is it exactly that people here hate about this plan so much? Will there be any public consultation? It would be nice to see some entertainment/cultural venues

I think a lot of it is the cheapening. The station now looks like a flat pack off the shelf design not unlike a GO station in Aurora. It lacks any sort of style or pinache. Just a handful of silos for human storage beside train tracks.
This could have been a great project like The Well, but instead it’s more like Vaughn City Centre. They’re just doing it cuz they gotta.
I think it stinks too because had we known they were going to punk out, maybe we could have forced them to keep some of the old buildings and the water tower to feign community.
