One of the buildings here, 5248 Yonge, was site for North York & Weston Family Service from the former City,.. err, Township of North York; recently served as (United Way) Women Shelter & Eva's Satellite for homeless Youth. Site is unoccupied; Eva's Satellite moved to 25 Canterbury Place (across from Fire Station) about 10 years ago.

As a reminder from post #195 where @PMT mentioned this was now on LaluCanada's website, well, they are now the Lalu Group, and here's what the top of the building looks like in the only rendering on their site:

The site says "Construction starting soon", so, here it goes I suppose!

We will get the database filed thread title updated soon.

Yeap, G-Group really calling the shots here - Lalu is just silent partner,... Still no Building Permit yet,... lots of Politics at play here,... dealing with "Obstructionist" (Mayor Tory's term). Help or doesn't help that G-Group's owner's son Vince is in Mayor Tory's office staff.

Sales of Ellie-Condo tower going well; almost no interest in the Office space - which will be Office-Condo.

Tenants of the 7 original rental units on site will return at the same rate for 20 years.

Thus far, about $20million(?) has been spent already on water works at this site; remember last year's systematic road closure of Yonge Street at Ellerslie & Norton with closure of Ellerslie & on-site water work earlier this year - all for building a huge storm trunk sewer connecting underground remnants of Wilket Creek in this area to Yonge St storm sewage line.

Completed Ellie-Condo will also have underground water reservoir at along its northeast corner - similar to Emerald Park which gather underground water from its north side & temporarily stores it in its underground water reservoir along its Yonge frontage.

The office tower looks to be marketed as 5250 Yonge. Along with what looks like could be a food court/hall as Upper Market.

On a side note it looks like the partners, Lalu Group (Canada), are now known as Unexus Group:
