I'm actually surprised that they did not cancel the whole project. It's too bad they cut the loop because Burnhamthorpe and Rathburn will now not be redone.

It's a Federal election year, so my fingers are crossed for some extra funds to appear. But you're right, those streets need a makeover, including bike lanes.

Apparently a Transit Station for the LRT was planned for the base of the Exchange Tower... don't know if today's announcement of the cancellation of the loop portion of the LRT will affect the size and scope of these towers... the LRT might now turn towards the bus terminal directly at Rathburn Rd, eliminating the loop around Square One.... possibly...

These towers are close enough to Hurontario that it won't have a big impact. Also demand has been insane for condos in MCC so far, doubt it will change much.

Do you think this line will be up and running by the end of 2022 as stated by Metrolinx???

Given the fact work will not start until 2020 in full throttle, can't see that date at all. Then, where are the 44 Alstom cars for the line when they are still setting up the plant in Brampton?? You need a yard to store them first before you can even look at testing until the line is fully built. You have to pull a car up and down both tracks to make sure there is no interference for them before burn in, training and testing can start.

Is it not the plan one day to extend the Bloor subway from Kipling to Square One?
Which life time???

The LRT will turn to the Bus Terminal like it did under the loop plan..

You are only a block or 2 away from the LRT stop and should have no impact on this development. You got route 3 and 26 running by this site and connect to the LRT. Route 3 connects to 2 LRT stops. There was to be a LRT stop just west of the site on Burnhamthorpe for the loop.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a 90-100s tower in front of the Absolute Towers.

It'd be really nice to see some tall height over by the Absolute Towers. I wouldn't be surprised if some supertall towers started getting proposed in MCC over the next few years, given now that we have M1 and M2 both above 200m U/C, and proposals for The Exchange at around 225m, and M3 at 260m.

Camrost using Chong Nonsi - an incredibly vibrant part of Bangkok featuring dense, multi-level urbanism - to hock cheap condos with shitty retail, on a six-lane-car-sewer, outside a suburban mall, is just fantastic...

Don't know if this thread already exists but looks very interesting.
4+ buildings to be built by Camrost. Photo from video sent out by Camrost.
Looks like the taller building will be 66+ storys. (11, 6 story cubes +)

Looks to be on Square One Property just south of The Bay
