CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: GALLERY SQUARE
"We are pleased to report that construction at Gallery Square is moving efficiently. Our hardworking and diligent construction team continues to work on all three towers ensuring our timelines are being met.

Currently in Tower “A” and “B” all exterior cladding is almost nearly complete from the 3rd to the 19th floor. Interior Suite finishes are underway in Tower “A” with the start of suite tile, kitchen cabinetry and trim carpentry install. In tower “C” the concrete structure is now complete, and all window installation is proceeding from the 3rd to 7th floor. We are counting down the days until our art-inspired community comes to life."

Entire Birchmount to Enterprise completed closed off.

All emergency vehicles out and workers are out sitting on outskirts. Looks like fire broke out on north side as I saw firetruck ladder going to the 3-4th floor?

Just came across this floorplan on the downtown Markham retail page of what the retail space has been reduced to. There’s some renderings of what it should turn out like.

Interesting that the largest space here is going to be used as an art gallery instead of a food hall like the renderings.View attachment 472085View attachment 472086View attachment 472087View attachment 472088View attachment 472089
I find a 24k sq ft art gallery is somewhat a waste.

Make it a food hall, retail, something to attract people to visit.

Art galleries are nice like the AGO but I mean that has tonnes of funding to make it an attraction.

This going to be a dinky poorly funded gallery? Like does anyone visit the one on Main Street Unionville?!
