Have created Zone 24 to deal with the guideway from Hurontario to OMSF based on what I saw.

The first section of the new road is just being built with the section along the 407 to the OMSF mostly graded and wide enough for 2 lanes and the guideway.

They are in the process of building the bridge over the creek that is very beef up and question why at this time why no barrier wall to stop the creek from flooding this new road.

VIA was using track 3 to Union

Not sure what is taking place, but no new rails for the Box to go under them are in place yet.

"Gorchynski said his crusade for an additional station on the 18-kilometre light rail transit (LRT) route, now known as the Hazel McCallion Line, brought them together in 2018.

“That’s why we were introduced — when she was running as a Progressive Conservative candidate. There’s probably no one who knows more about the Hurontario LRT than I do,” he said of the 19-stop line running from Mississauga’s Lakeshore West GO station to Brampton." (emphasis added)

Um, no.

Um, no.
You saying he doesn't know more about the line than others??

I enthusiastically am, yes.
You know he has written a number of business cases per the line as well for the Kingsbridge station that has put ML to shame. Has major investment in that plaza on the west side that will see new development. Part of the committee for the construction of the line.

The posting has nothing to do with the line in the first place other a lover thing that were supports of the line.

^ Great, he has opinions (which I'm sure he feels are "business cases" except they aren't at the level Metrolinx/actual professional consultants do). Lots of people do. I don't agree with him. It's been reviewed and rejected.

Actually, the article is completely on topic. It's alleged that someone tried to bribe a government MPP to get a new station on the Hurontario LRT. This is the Hurontario LRT thread.

The article quotes the MPP's statement of defense names the Hurontario LRT so it's on topic even if you don't agree, and enjoy sitting with him on the constitution liaison committee.

"Kusendova’s statement of defence said that Gorchynski “got involved with her romantically for the sole purpose of lobbying for the LRT stop … and exploiting her political office to do so.”"

Looks like some of the material or all of it for the track bridge is now on site in the storage area.

Some unexpected issues have risen that has push the tunnel move back a month or 2 at this time.

The east sidewalk is a lot higher than before for the underpass that reduce the slop for it. At the same time, the north section is being shift a lane to the east as the north bound lanes are being shift as well. Hard to get clear shots as traffic was bumper to bumper all the way to the QEW.

By the looks of things, the current left turn to the QEW westbound is going to be remove and replace with a right hand on ramp. The current off ramp to go south will be shift to the westside after the northbound ramp open. Wouldn't be surprised if the eastbound off ramp to go northbound will be shift to the east side of Hurontario. This would remove the current 3 stop light to one for the south service road. Its possible it could be remove and force drivers to make a U-turn at the north service road lights.

I think we should just call this HRT which covers both Hazel and Hurontario and then the court of public opinion will decide what the acronym actually stands for.

I’m still hoping for a huge hazel scandal being released before this LRT comes to fruition which will kill this silly name. (It’s silly because every dang thing in Mississauga is named after hazel as of no other person has ever lived here or mattered)
