June 12
No trackwork has yet to start at Port Credit as plan starting June 10 and looks like not all the material is on site to do it. Expect it will be a few more weeks.

What I saw and shot on June 4 is a lot different than what I saw today and shot.

Way more steel ties on site today as well beams.

They have started to build the new n-s Oriole road where the grass used to be for as it has to be in place before building the new road Englewood bridge over a new rebuilt Marry Fix Creek and removing the current Inglewood one to the north

Today photo will be up in a few days

What the Hell..............Where the communications???..................Does the right hand know what the left is doing???

Taking the other haft to the eye doctor today and waiting for our bus, noticed the #8 bus turning off Central Parkway, not Elm Dr like it normally does that was odd. Head to Heartland to swap data from the old laptop to a new on after the Dr.

Hit CCTT and scratch my head at what I was seeing at the terminal. CCTT was closed to all buses a week ago to allow things to be install across the driveways. All of Rathburn was fully pave where it hadn't been paved as well.

Saw cutting was under way in front of CCTT to install a gas line as I saw the marking on the road last week, Excavation was to start at City Centre and go west to Duke of York for the gas line. Why not do it when there was no paving in place?? Was told they were doing backward.

Got on the #3 bus with no problems until we turn onto Elm and came to a complete stop. The bus and traffic couldn't go east on Elm and cross Hurontario St as it was close and block off. The bus backup to go backup to Burnhamthrope to get to Hurontario to get to Elm. Elm is 100% close on the west side of Hurontario to allow various infrastructure to be install. The bus driver had no info on the road closure and was on the phone to Dispatch about the closure.

Either the closure happen after he pass through the area to get to CCTT or was a relief driver who wasn't told the buses were on detour or how long it would be. No info at CCTT to inform riders that the 3 and 8 were on detour.

Did the contractor not pass on info onto Transit management about the closure or did transit fail to inform everyone of the plan detour??

Then the contractor has add asphalt curbs in front of the existing shelter preventing buses get to the sidewalk once traffic is shift to the south side of Rathburn in July. Are they going to put the wood platforms in front of the curb to allow riders on/off the Buses??

Had to go to Brampton today and this what we saw..

Brampton
Some work is taking place, but not much from what we could see.

Shoring underway at the south end of the 407 overpass to add pier support for the eastbound on ramp for the 407

Mississauga.
The north side of 401 guideway work is different from southside with no caissons for the OS centre pole as well fully dug out for the centre lanes.

Looks like a box structure in the centre of the guideway that has to be remove to build the guideway with some section been done already. A few more caissons in place including were this box structure is that has seen concrete removed to allow the caissons to be place.

Elm Dr intersection is fully reopen.

The first pier on the southside of Rathburn is now fully form and waiting concrete for it.

The plan gas line work on Rathburn has been pushed down the road as traffic is now shifted to the south side where the work was to take place. Bus stops are now at the curb for eastbound and the westbound ones are in the centre of the road.

My last update until mid Aug to early Sept and leave it to others to provide update until then.

Some progress along the northern section. The centre lanes have been dug out from just south of Courtney Park to just south of Derry. I was driving so couldn’t take any pictures.

Far as I know, there are 3 different projects taking place in those photos.

1. QEW being widen with a new bridge over Hurontario with modification to off ramps.

2. Site to build the Push Box

3. The lane from the westbound ramp on Hurontario is to be modify to slow down drivers crossing all lanes to go west on the North Service Rd and north on Hurontario

MTO is calling all the shots
