Some of the units feature glass block windows. My unit will have a wall of my dining room with a glass block window. So that is meant when they mention being backlit, but I doubt all of the glass block walls will be backlit especially when it is a solid wall. The photo of the mockup above shows this nicely.

As for the landscaping, there have been extensive studies on the micro-climate (light, wind, precipitation, etc.) of these planters and where they are located and oriented on the building to help decide on the ideal vegetation. The vegetation selected is unique depending on its location, soil depth, etc. There are 8 different types of vines used on the building of varying colours, foliage, flowers, etc. to create a dynamic lush appearance while ensuring it is sustainable and easier to maintain.
I already know the types of plants that will be planted on my terraces, including one of them which will have a flowering dogwood tree that I am excited to have in my backyard in the sky!

Looking forward to your pics once completed.

Is it for owners only or anyone can attend?

Anyone can attend, but you need to register for a time slot on Eventbrite first. Keep in mind the location of the event is also held at 2190 Teston Road in Vaughan (Maple).

It was a very simple and casual open house event. No formal presentation or announcements were made, but it was a chance to see the exterior construction and finishes up close in person.
The mock-up can only be viewed on the outside as there is nothing on the inside (just wood and steel construction holding up the structure). There was a live band performing on and around the mock-up, a ballet performance from GOH Ballet, and wine & canapés served.

The quality and robustness of the materials and level of detail were impressive. The glass block walls feature a mirrored back coating (where it's a solid wall and not a window) which creates a nice luminance and depth in the sunlight. The windows and doors are triple glazed 6mm low-iron argon-filled glass that looks to be twice as thick as your typical condo glazing (like something you see on an office building) and excellent for sound insulation, in addition to being extremely energy efficient.
