It's really exciting to see a BIG project take shape in Toronto. You can tell it's going to be special even from the concrete frame.

They've done some stunning work in Canada, including Vancouver House and the sublime TELUS Sky in Calgary. Kudos to Westbank for making so much great architecture happen.
Just hope it doesn't have issues like Vancouver House where it flooded not long after completion....

All new buildings will experience some quirks in the beginning, that’s pretty much a given. Sometimes such matters are out of the developer’s control. It's a matter of how well these situations are handled.

Don‘t forget WestBank built the Shangri-La, and building 19 Duncan and Mirvish Village here in Toronto, all impressive buildings In addition to the other stunning buildings they built across Canada and the US. I applaud Westbank with working with outstanding architects, partnering with excellent quality vendors and suppliers, and taking great care and ownership to their developments, we need more innovative, design-driven and passionate condo developers like them in Toronto!

Not trying to speculate, but we don't know if it happened because they (a) cut cost buying cheaper / improper gaskets, or (b) if it was a proper seal and it just failed. So we can't say definitively whether it was out of the developer's control as we don't know.

We do know they requested all of the seals replaced (how well it was handled) https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/...ncouver-house-repairs-to-last-a-month-3646702

There is a major lawsuit over failing windows at Shangri-La in Vancouver.
