How long does it take for minutes from the meeting to become available? Expecting something good here.

Minutes takes a few months; the board book for the board meetings have recently started to provide a precis of the proposals before the DRP and the DRP comments during the previous month, so I would look for that. FYI they haven't posted the proponent presentations yet - I (or someone else) will post it here when it becomes available (they tend to be available within a week to a month).

  • Also possible insight into Block 20. They're thinking of a parking garage?

Based on their Scrivener Court design, this is promising. Looks like aA is doing the taller eastern tower and COBE is handling the two western ones.

I wonder why they didn't go taller?

Generally speaking I like this and its connection to the Distillery.

The towers seem like they could look very dated very quickly.

I never envisioned this parcel as a continuation of the Distillery District (at least in terms of pedestrian flow and circulation) until those renderings.

I'm pretty wow-ed. Can't wait to see this get developed.

It's lined with townhouses - while it may be an extension of the Distillery, I wouldn't expect it to be a very busy extension. I don't see a lot of pedestrian desire lines through it and townhouses don't generate a ton of pedestrian activity.

One thing that The Esplanade and St. Lawrence neighbourhood did really well was multiple spaces for children at different ages. Corktown Common is quite nice but there are opportunities for additional spaces for different age groups and this section in the West Don Lands between block 8 and 20 could do more heavy lifting I think.

A few pics of things I saw in Rotterdam in May that could work here:
